Nina M. Bair

Funeral services for Nina M. Bair, 85, Lawrence will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. She died March 2, 2013 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born January 30, 1928 in Bigelow, Kansas the daughter of Ray E. and Maude F. (Burton) Christie.
She was a traffic officer with the University of Kansas and retired in 1990. She was also the first woman traffic officer in Lawrence.
She was a member of North Lawrence Christian Church. She was a PTA Past President and Girl Scout Leader.
She married Floyd E. Bair on December 8, 1947 in Lawrence, KS. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and great-grandson, Blake Albin.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie R. Albin (Larry), Wichita, KS, Terry L. Parker (Chris), Lawrence, KS; five grandsons, Antony Albin (Jena), Lamont Albin (Kimi), Christopher Parker, Jason Parker (Bailey) and William Parker; five great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons; two sisters, Loma Gregg, Lawrence, KS; Lois Stowell, Hutchinson, KS; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in her name to North Lawrence Christian Church or to Habitat for Humanity, Lawrence and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
