Dale Wayne Roubison Lawrence
Dale Wayne Roubison, 52, of Lawrence, KS passed away January 22, 2013 peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones. His passing was caused by complications brought on by colon cancer.
Dale was born in Winslow, AZ and grew up in California where he formed his love for the ocean. While in Kansas, he maintained his love of the sun and water spending every summer day at the pool. Dale combined his passion for cooking and KU sports in his extravagant gourmet tailgates enjoyed by many.
Dale worked at the K-Mart distribution center for 22 years, then successfully built and ran his own business, Laser Pest Management, LLC, the first company in the area to make use of a termite detecting dog, Crockett.
All who met Dale were moved by his sincerity, his warm heart, and his devotion to those he loved. He was the rock of his family, always taking care of others but he was also playful and full of jokes, maintaining his healthy sense of humor until his passing.
Dale is survived by his mother, Donna Roubison; daughters, Kaylin Dillon, Chessa Carter; brothers, Carl Roubison, Jim Roubison, his wife, Tammy and sister, Samantha Roubison. Dale was also preceded in death by his father, Gary Roubison, and brother, Bryan Roubison.
