Robert Wayne Bignall 1934 - 2013 Topeka
Robert Wayne Bignall, 78, of Topeka, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at his home. Robert was born on August 3, 1934 in Lawrence,Ks, to Fred and Lily Bignall. He attended Lawrence High School, and graduated in 1953. Robert joined the Marines and served during the war in Korea. After his service returned to work at Lawrence Paper Co., in which he retired in 2004 after 51 years. He married Carolyn Crabb, in 1977 and lived in Topeka. He enjoyed camping, and horse activities for many years, and later raising dogs together. Surviving are his wife, two children, Alan Bignall (wife Linda), Lawrence, KS. Traci Angeles (husband Kent), Lyndon, KS., four grandchildren, three stepchildren, two sisters, Nancy McGinnis, Independence, MO., Barbara Goddard, Lawrence, KS. A memorial gathering is schedule for Monday, January 21st, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Chapel Oaks, 3821 W 6th St. Lawrence KS. Cremation is planned as per his request.
