Theresa Loretta Aucott 1921 - 2013 Lawrence
Theresa Loretta Schiess Aucott, 91, Lawrence, Ks, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2013 at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor. A memorial service will be held in the Manor’s Chapel, 1429 Kasold Dr, Lawrence, Ks on January 22 at 2:30pm, with visitation from 1:30 to 2:30, also at the Manor.
Loretta was born on December 23, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pa to John and Theresa Haussler Schiess and graduated from Simon Gratz High School. She was a homemaker in suburban Philadelphia and a secretary for Abington Township Parks and Recreation. In retirement she moved to Tallahassee, Fl and later Alexandria, La. After having a stroke in 2008, she moved to Lawrence to be closer to her family. Loretta always made many friends wherever she lived.
Loretta was preceeded in death by her parents Theresa Haussler Schiess and John Schiess, her husband Walter Howarth Aucott, and a son David Charles Aucott.
She is survived by her son Walter Richard Aucott, Overland Park, Ks and her granddaughters Katherine Virginia Aucott and Jennifer Lynn Aucott, both of Lawrence, Ks.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Best Friends Animal Society, Kanab, Utah or your local Humane Society to honor Loretta’s life long love of animals. Condolences may be left at chapeloaksne.com
