Lee Allen King 1987 - 2013 Oskaloosa
Lee Allen King, 25, of Oskaloosa, KS., died early Sunday, January 6, 2013 in rural Leavenworth, County, KS. He was born May 2, 1987 in Holton, KS., the son of Kent Allen King and Carolyn Sue King. He attended Oskaloosa Schools, graduating from Oskaloosa High School in 2005. He attended United States Marine Corp basic training receiving an honorable medical discharge. Lee graduated from the Washburn Institute of Technology for Diesel Mechanics. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for King’s Construction Company in Oskaloosa. He was a member of the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church. Survivors include his Mother Carolyn Sue King, his Father Kent A. King, and Step-Mother Patricia King, and Sister Taylor King, all of Oskaloosa, two Brothers, Bryson and his wife Heather Wheeler, Holton, KS., Ben and His wife Danielle Wheeler, Manhattan, KS. Paternal Grandmother Gere King, Lawrence, KS., and Maternal Grandparents, Charles and Ethel Ann King, Holton, KS. He was preceded in death by Paternal Grandfather, Floyd “Bud” King, and his oldest Brother, Nathan Wheeler. Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 18, at the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to be given to the Lee King Memorial Scholarship fund in care of the Barnett Family Funeral Home, PO Box 602 Oskaloosa, KS 66066.
