Mary L. Walker 1928 - 2013 Tonganoxie
Mary L. Walker, 84, Tonganoxie, KS, passed away Tuesday January 1, 2013 at her home.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday January 5, 2013 at the Tonganoxie Christian Church. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at the church. Burial will follow in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Mary was born December 14, 1928 in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Clifford and Stella Botts DeHoff. She was united in marriage to Norman Walker on August 31, 1946 in Lawrence, KS. She worked in the Radiology Department at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Tonganoxie Christian Church and Guardian for many years for the International Order of Job’s Daughters. She was a recipient of the LaSertoma Youth Service Award. She was preceded in death by her son Norman Edward Walker in 1971.
Survivors include her husband, Norman Walker, of the home; one son, Gary (Terylan) Walker, Tonganoxie; one daughter, Rita (Larry) Bailey, Tonganoxie; one sister, Wilma Pusch, Lawrence; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
