James A. Tuttle
Funeral services for James A. Tuttle, 85, Eudora will be Wednesday, February 27, 2013,
1:30 p.m. at Eudora United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Vinland Cemetery, Vinland, KS. He died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Medicalodges, Eudora.
James was born in Mountain View, Arkansas, May 26, 1927, the son of Madison and Lillie (Haywood) Tuttle. He served in the U.S. Calvary until it was disbanded and then served in the U.S.Army during WWII. He was a panel operator at DuPont for over 20 years, retiring in 1984. He married Vickie Hillebert on November 30, 1953 in Baldwin City, KS. She preceded him in death October 1, 1986.
Survivors include: one son, Carl and his wife Barbara, Eudora; one brother, Vernon,
Eudora; three sisters, Margaret Kendrick and Earlene Donoho both of Lawrence and Ann
Brown, Smithville, MO.
The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8 pm, Tuesday, February 26, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Eudora. Memorials in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society and sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
