Donald H. Himpel 1924 - 2013
Donald H. Himpel, 89, Tonganoxie, KS, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at his home.
Funeral service will be 10 am Monday February 25, 2013 at the Tonganoxie United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie. The family will receive friends from 3-5pm Sunday at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie.
He was born February 18, 1924 in Tonganoxie, KS, the son of Arthur and Cecile (Crady) Himpel. He was a farmer and served as an M.P. in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Mahoney in 1964 and Georgina Mae Denholm in 1992.
Survivors include; one son, Donald A. Himpel (Bill McAleer) Madison, WI; one daughter, Donna M. (David) Higbee, Tonganoxie, KS; and 3 grandchildren.
