Helen M. DeNucci 1922 - 2013 Lake Mary, Florida
Helen M. DeNucci, age 90 of Lake Mary, Florida and previously of DeSoto and Lawrence, Kansas passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at the Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, FL. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Sidney Cemetery in Linwood, KS. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 9 to 11 prior to the funeral also at the funeral home. Helen was born to Robert and Inez Borchers on May 29, 1922, in Kansas City, KS. She grew up on her father’s farm, graduated from Basehor High School, attended the University of Kansas, and prior to her marriage was an elementary school teacher. Helen moved to Youngstown, Ohio, with her husband in 1952 where she raised her family, returning to her beloved Kansas in 1980. Before moving to Florida in 2002 to be near her daughter, she was a member of the Eudora United Methodist Church and had been active in the Order of the Eastern Star and the Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem for over 50 years. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Peter “Pete” DeNucci in 2000, her parents and brother (Robert). Her survivors include son and daughter- in-law Mark T. DeNucci, Sr. and Bonnie DeNucci of Toledo, OH, daughter Nancy DeNucci of Lake Mary, FL., two grandsons Mark T. DeNucci, Jr. and Andrew B. DeNucci, both of Toledo, OH. The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, FL sent in care of the Alden-Harrington Chapel, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs 66012 or charity of your choice.
