Hazel Madeline Westgate Gleason

Hazel Madeline Westgate Gleason, 87, passed away on January 29, 2013 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was born on October 7, 1925. Hazel, better known as Bobbie, graduated from Manhattan High School in 1943. She started her working career as an 18 year old riveter in the Aero Parts Plant in Wichita, Kansas in 1944. She later spent 7 years working at the Topeka, Kansas Public Library, and afterwards, 15 years in general printing at the Fleming Co. from which she retired in 1988. On July 13, 1946, she eloped and married Harold Frank Gleason in Raton, New Mexico. Harold and Bobbie traveled all over the U.S. in their motor homes. She was a member of the Lowman Methodist Church in Topeka, Kansas. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harold Frank Gleason, of Baldwin, Kansas; two sons, Nickylee Gleason, and wife, Rita, of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Dennis Gleason, and wife, Kay, of Topeka, Kansas; four grandchildren, Meagan Hill, and husband, Brad, of Bath, New York, and Misty Nimz, and husband, Charles, Tammy Gleason, and Daniel Gleason, all of Topeka, Kansas; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
