Alice A. Bullerman 1944 - 2012 Waterloo, IA
WATERLOO -- Alice A. Bullerman, 86, of the Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, September 4, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.
She was born June 5, 1926 in St. Lucas, daughter of John and Caroline Bodensteiner Bruess. She married Alphonse “Al” Bullerman on June 20, 1944 in St. Lucas. He died in 1999.
Alice was employed with Freeman’s Cafe for many years, retiring in 1988.
Survivors include: six sons, Robert (Judy) of Galesville, Wisc, Floyd (Rosie), Ivan (Peggy), Pat (Gail) all of Waterloo, Mike (Georgia) of Bourbonnais, Illinois and Terry (Lisa) of Lawrence, Kan.; three daughters, Sandy (Dave) Neuendorf of Buckingham, Doris (Alan) Haugen of Atkins and Joyce (Greg) Sadler of Waterloo; 20 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; a sister, Arlene Lensing of Calmar; and a brother, Clarence Bruess of Monroe, Wisc.
Preceded in death by: a grandson, Bradley Haugen; two sisters, Lucille Lechtenberg and Wilma Franzen; and five brothers, Cornell, John, Arthur, Donald and James Bruess.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Queen Of Peace Catholic Church with entombment in the Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Public visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a Legion Of Mary rosary at 4 p.m. and a vigil at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church for an hour before services on Monday.
Memorials may be made to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
