Ida Doris Olstead 1918 - 2012 Coleman, Texas
Ida Doris Olstead age 94 of Coleman, Texas formerly of McLouth, Kansas passed from this life on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 9:15 am at her residence in Coleman.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
Ida was born March 19, 1918 in McLouth, Kansas to the late Edger and Louise Hehn Osborn. She was raised in McLouth, Kansas and graduated from McLouth High School. On February 3, 1941 she married Arthur James Olstead and they celebrated forty eight years of marriage. Arthur preceded her in death in 1989. Ida had been a resident of Coleman since 2007, was a member of the Methodist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include a son, Earl Olstead of Coleman, Texas; three sisters, Ruth Dugger of Tucson, Arizona, Beulah Smith of Independence, Missouri, and Thelma Kirby of Independence, Missouri.
Ida was preceded in death by two sons, Harold Olstead in 1941 and James Olstead in 1994.
