Charles “Chuck” Pachella

Charles “Chuck” Pachella, 75, of Lawrence, passed away November 19th. He was born on January 12, 1937, in Paterson, NJ, to Charles James and Marion (Hill) Pachella. He was honorably discharged from the New Jersey Army Reserves, where he served as a medic. He graduated from Rutgers University in 1970 with a degree in Psychology and as the Outstanding Statistical Student. He received his Master’s Degree from the University of Kansas. He worked as a clinical psychologist for a number of years and spent much of his life working in sales. In retirement, he worked at Eagle Bend Golf Course, which was probably his most enjoyable employment. Chuck loved sports, people, talking to people, and telling stories and jokes as only he could.
He married Lois Pachella in 1964, they are now divorced. Chuck is also survived by a brother, Robert, Ypsilanti, MI; two children, Jacki Hartford, Lawrence, and Kristin Pachella, Eudora; three grandchildren, Brett Hartford, Parsippany, NJ, Cameron Hartford, Lawrence, Sarah Marlow, Versailles, MO, and great-granddaughter, Raelynn Marlow.
The family will receive visitors and looks forward to sharing stories of a life well lived from 7-9pm Wednesday, November 21, at the Lawrence Funeral Chapel.
