Hugh Michael “Mike” Blitch 1948 - 2012 Burnet, Texas
Hugh Michael “Mike” Blitch passed away November 10, 2012, in Burnet. He was born March 18, 1948, in Stockton, California to Harold E. and Bess Scott Blitch. And lived in Lawrence, Kansas until 1966 when he became a U.S. Marine. Mike was twice deployed to Vietnam where he learned to be a welder. He continued this work the remainder of his life. He had lived in Burnet for approximately twenty years.
Mike is survived by his mother Bess and his sister Beth and by sons Jay and wife Amber and their five children, Joel and his wife Kamischa and their four children, daughter Carey Clemons and her four children, and son Brian Hess. Mike is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Debbie Gordon Blitch, his father Harold Eugene Blitch, and grandson Mason Blitch.
A memorial service in memory of Mike was held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jon Weems officiating.
