Memorial services for Jerrald Michael Lynch, 65, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, KS. Private family inurnment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Grove, KS. He died on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Colmery-O’Neil VA Hospital in Topeka.
Jerrald Michael Lynch, born May 6, 1947, in Lawrence, KS, the son of Howard and Mary K. (Markley) Lynch.
He graduated Lawrence High School in 1965.
He spent seven years in the Air Force. One year at Lackland Air Force Base in San Angelo, TX, four years at Chicksands Air Force Base in England and two years at Tan Sa Nut Air Force Base near Saigon, Viet Nam and was mustered out in 1973.
Jerry worked at Kaw Valley Industrial for 20 years until unable to continue due to ill health.
He was married to Charlotte Ann Curtiss on May 23, 1975 in Lawrence, KS. She preceded him in death November 14, 2005.
He leaves a daughter Robyn Adams & husband Brian of Lawrence, a son Barry Lynch & wife Jenee of Newton, KS, granddaughter Kaytlin Lynch, Waverly, KS, granddaughter Joely Ann Adams, Lawrence & grandsons Caden and Caleb Lynch, Newton, KS, his parents, Howard & Mary & two brothers Galen Lynch, Canadian, TX & Ronald Lynch of Lawrence.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials in his name to the Veterans Administration in Topeka and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
