Edna Jeanette Swain 1919 - 2012 Tonganoxie
Edna Jeanette Swain, 92, Tonganoxie, KS, died Thursday March 29, 2012 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, KS.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Wild Horse Cemetery, McLouth, KS. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie.
Edna was born April 30, 1919 in Tonganoxie, KS, the daughter of Richard and Ada Sample Keck. She was a 1936 graduate of Tonganoxie High School. She was united in marriage to Byron Swain on July 15, 1938 in Oskaloosa, KS. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was a member of the Stanwood Friends Church and the Hazel Ridge Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Torneden, Linwood, KS and one grandson.
