William Charles Ray 1963 - 2012
William Ray
Son of Bobby (deceased) and Nina Ray, brothers: Gary Allen, David (both deceased), Robert and Paul Ray, all of Lawrence, KS. Survived by: a lost son, William C. Ray Jr.; a daughter, Tonyell; son, Johnathan; daughter-in-law, Nicole; granddaughter, Lizzie; ex-wife, Penny Miller; niece, Tracy Cook; nephew, Troy Cook. Life long friends: Phillip Lewis, Brent Howard, Terry Ellison, James Winborn, Paul Watson, Louie Bower, just to name a few. William was an advocate for the handicapped or disabled to get a law that all businesses or establishments be made handicapped accessible. William died at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in the intensive care unit Friday, March, 23, 2012, due to a severe infection. He will be dearly missed. Viewing and speaking took place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Ind. Please meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the funeral home for the graveside service.
