Jeffrey Martin Miller 1963 - 2012 Lawrence
Jeffrey Martin Miller, Lawrence, KS, passed away March 19th, 2012 at the VA Medical Center, Kansas City MO, due to complications following surgery.
Jeff was born July 2nd, 1963 at Russell, KS, to Samuel M. and Judith (Rogg) Miller. Jeff graduated from Russell High School in May 1982. He attended college at KU and joined the U.S. Army in 1989. He honorably and proudly served his country in Desert Storm in 91’ and Iraqi Freedom in 04’-05’. Jeff worked for Del Monte, Kibbles N’ Bits division, as an extruder operator.
Jeff is survived by his three children Heather Miller, Lawrence, Ks, Jeffrey Miller Jr., Greeley Co., and Brandon Miller (and Jamie), Lawrence, KS., his grandson Cooper Lee; his father Sam Miller ( and Melanie), Boise, ID., his mother Judy Saul, Russell, KS., his sister Colleen Miller, Livermore, Co., his uncles Robert D. “Bob” Miller, Russell, KS., and Darrell Rogg (and Vicki), Salina KS., and his aunt Diana (Rogg) Waymaster, Bunker Hill, KS.
His passions in life were his children and his grandson. He enjoyed restoring older vehicles, guns, NASCAR, and associating with friends and coworkers. He never knew a stranger.
Jeff chose to be an organ donor followed by cremation. There will be a celebration of life at the Chapel Oaks Lawrence Funeral Chapel 3821 W 6th St Lawrence, KS, at 5:00p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Midwest Transplant Network or the Wounded Warrior Project. On-line condolences may be expressed at chapeloaksne.com.
