Kelly Lynn Carson
Memorial services for Kelly Lynn Carson, 38, Lawrence, Kansas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Lawrence Funeral Chapel. She died on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital from complications of pneumonia.
Kelly Lynn Carson was born August 21, 1973 in Topeka, Kansas, at St. Francis Hospital. Kenneth and Patricia Meyer took Kelly into their home in 1980. Even though Kelly was mentally disabled and was health impaired with epileptic seizures and Cystic Fibrosis she exhibited a constant strength to stay in our lives. She graduated from Lawrence High School in May of 1995. She worked at Cottonwood Inc. in the work enrichment program with personal assistance and love from Corinna Wood and Jacque Miller. Her laugh will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family requests making a donation in Kelly’s name to Cottonwood Inc.
She is survived by her foster parents, Kenneth and Patricia Meyer; foster sisters, Jessica Edwards and Lisa Willard; her beloved grandfather, Norman Edee; birth parents, Vicki Fisher and Jim Carson, both of Topeka, Kansas; and sister, Lori Olesky.
