Roger Skiffington

A Celebration of Life service for Roger Skiffington, 67, Nova Scotia, will be held at noon on March 31 at 1703 NW Taylor in Topeka.
Mr. Skiffington died March 5, 2012, in Nova Scotia.
He was born Jan. 5, 1945, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Edward Skiffington and Isabelle Rathjens.
Mr. Skiffington was the self-employed owner of NAFCO, Minky’s Bar and held many other titles. He was president of Huns Mother Chapter from 1970 to 1972. Mr. Skiffington just received his pilot license and was co-founder of the annual lobster parties. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1964 to 1966.
He married Marina Skiffington on March 3, 2003, in Jamaica. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Lloyd Skiffington and Edward Slade Acker; a sister, Stebbie Acker; three brothers, Pete Gilbride, Joey Deere and Leroy Dunn; and two grandchildren.
