Toby Scott Burgess 1985 - 2012 Lawrence
Toby Scott Burgess, 26, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2012. He was born on May 1, 1985 and was a lifelong resident of Lawrence. Toby attended Riverside Elementary School, Central Junior High and Free State High School.
In recent years Toby had worked at Zen Zero, Free State Brewery and La Familia. He was well known in downtown Lawrence and is remembered for his kindness and generosity to others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Burgess and Vera Burgess of Lawrence, and is survived by siblings Ted Burgess and Dennis Burgess of Lawrence; Jan Burgess of Rutherford, New Jersey; Johanna Delony of Silver Spring, Maryland, and by many loving friends. Interment of ashes will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 27th at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence. Friends and family members are welcome to attend.
