Gordon Wayne Schulenberg 1942 - 2012 Lawrence
Gordon Wayne Schulenberg, 70, Lawrence, died Friday, June 15, 2012 at Eudora Medicalodges.
He was born March 1, 1942 in Rulo, NE, the son of Herbert and Velma (Zimmerman) Schulenberg.
He was a member of the Army National Guard. He was a Maintenance Supervisor at the University of Kansas for several years prior to his retirement.
He married Mary Lou Wilhelm on February 17, 1975 in Vancouver, WA. She preceded him in death on November 18, 2010.
Survivors include: two daughters, Velma Ruth Schulenberg, Phoenix, AZ and Terrie Schulenberg and husband Oliver Uttley, Lawrence, KS. two stepsons, Jason Gade and wife Jan, Aloha, OR and Dan Gade, TX; two sisters, Lois Batig, Wooster, OH and Bettie Schulenberg, Canby OR; one brother, Bill Schulenberg,OR; four grandchildren, Isaac Uttley and Kevin, Derek and Elisabeth Gade. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Paul Schulenberg.
No services are planned. Memorials in his name may be given to Cans for Community and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
