Camella Fern Hallenbeck 1927 - 2012 Overland Park
Camella Fern Hallenbeck, Overland Park, KS, passed away June 14, 2012, at Rose Estates Assisted living, Overland Park, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Funeral services will be held at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie, KS, 10 A.M. Wednesday June 20, 2012. Burial will follow in Mt. Sidney Cemetery, Linwood, KS. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday June 19, 2012 at the Quisenberry Chapel.
Camella was born May 4, 1927, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Eurick and Lois Schwartz. She graduated from Linwood High School in 1944. Camella married her high school sweetheart, Earl Hallenbeck, June 4,1946. Her varied occupations included telephone operator, schoolteacher, florist and housemother for the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority at Kansas University. Her greatest pleasure was being mother to her five children, all who survive her: John Hallenbeck (Julie), David Hallenbeck (Virginia), Julie Henderson (Bob),
Marcia McFarlane (Ted), Jennifer Laming (Tom). Camella was preceded in death by her parents, Eurick and Lois Schwartz, her husband, Earl Hallenbeck and one grandson, Nicholas Hallenbeck.
Other survivors include; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, as well as the loving family of caregivers at Rose Estates Assisted Living in Overland Park, KS.
