Mary Lou Warner

Mary Lou Warner, 91, passed away after a series of illnesses on Monday (June 11, 2012) in Wichita.
Mary Lou was born on Oct. 30, 1920, in Newton, the daughter of Glenn and Zella McMurray. She graduated from Newton High School.
She spent many years in Wichita and Bartlesville, Okla., while her husband was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company. After the death of their son in 1975, they moved to Lawrence, where she was the first employee of the Lawrence Presbyterian Manor. Upon retirement, the Warners became residents. Mary Lou moved to Wichita last year to be near her son and grandchildren.
She is survived by a son Gregory Warner (wife Trisha) of Derby; two granddaughters Heather
Webb of Derby, Dawn Flower (husband Ted); two great grandchildren Ashton Nguyen and Cheyanna Bercaw; a brother Loren McMurray (wife Helen) of Phoenix, Az.; one nephew and two nieces.
Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband Paul Warner in 1997; and son Douglas Warner. Memorial services will be held at 1 P.M. Friday at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
