Kenneth R. Leach 1935 - 2012 Linwood

Ken Leach age 76 of Linwood, Kansas passed away on Sunday June 10, 2012 at his home. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday June 14 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Sidney Cemetery in Linwood, Kansas. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening also at the funeral home.
Ken was born on Aug. 21, 1935 in Valley Falls, Kansas. He graduated in 1954 from Linwood High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army. He had worked at Safeway Cereal Plant in Bonner Springs. He and his wife Carol had owned and operated Ken’s Skelly Service in Bonner Springs for over 12 years. Later
he went on to work for KDOT until his retirement in 1994. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years Carol Lee Leach in 1999 and by one brother Charles Leach. Survivors include his three children son Curtis Ray Leach of Linwood, KS., daughter Sheri Ann Longabach of Lawrence, KS., son Daren Eugene Leach and wife Patti of Linwood, KS., three brothers Clifford Leach of Olathe, KS., Harold Leach and Edward Leach both of Linwood, KS. 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
