Jordan Robert Barranco 1988 - 2012 Topeka
Jordan Robert Barranco, 23, of Topeka, passed away on June 6, 2012, from injuries sustained in an accident. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Topeka, Kansas on October 30, 1988 the son of Juan Salvador and Elizabeth Ann (Gonzales) Barranco.
Jordan attended Shawnee Heights High School and graduating with the class of 2007 from Free State High School in Lawrence and attended classes at Johnson County Community College. He was employed as a Data Processor for Nationwide Publishing.
He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Matthew Catholic Churches. Jordan loved sports especially basketball, baseball and golf. He was an avid KU fan.
Jordan loved blowing bubbles with his son Jordan Salvador Ramiro Barranco, Jr. He is also survived by his parents, Juan and Elizabeth Barranco, his brother, Ryan Barranco, his sister, Jerilyn Barranco, his grandparents, Salvador “Sal” and Eusebia “Peggy” Escobar Barranco and Alfonso and Grace Pimentel Gonzales, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jordan will lie in state at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Monday after 4:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and a Parish Vigil Service will be at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Jordan Barranco, Jr. Fund to help with his son’s future needs and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
