Margaret E. Eilts 1919 - 2012 Lawrence
Funeral services for Margaret E. Eilts, 93, Lawrence, 2 pm Friday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, with Pastor Dan Norwood officiating.
Mrs. Eilts died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Univ. of Ks. Hospital.
Born Mar. 3, 1919, in Zurich, Kan. to William R. & Myrtle A. Cochran Sutor, and graduated from Baldwin High School.
She was the officer manager for Dr. Gary Joyce, O.D., and retired in 2000 after 30 years of service. She was a member of Centenary UMC, and enjoyed spending time with family.
She married Lee E. Eilts on May 2, 1942, at Ft. Leavenworth. He died in 1974. Also preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters. Survivors include daughter Sonjia (Bob) Payne, Lawrence, and son Brent (Yvonne) Eilts, Irvine, Ky.; granddaughter Kelly (J.C) Toth; and great grandchildren Christopher and Natalie Toth.
Friends may call noon – 8pm Thursday. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday.
