Ethel K. Blundon

Ethel K. Blundon, age 96, of Lawrence, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. She was born on May 24, 1915 in Alpena, Arkansas, the daughter of Lillian (Towers) and William F. Ordwein.
Ethel was one of the original “Rosey The Riveters” in WWII, having worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engines. There she made sure the aircraft was suitable to launch. She was also a 40 year employee in the HR department for the State of Kansas. Ethel enjoyed reading and especially loved her family gatherings and Christmas time.
Survivors include her son, Charles (Sondra) Mosley of Lawrence; daughter, Geraldine (Chuck) Everett of South Padre Island, TX; 4 grandchildren, Steve (Linda) Everett of Wyandotte County, KS, Pamela (Jerry) Baker of Benton, MO, Jennifer (Brian) Neher of Belton, MO and Kenneth (Donna) Mosley of Highlands Ranch, CO; 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Private family graveside services are planned for a later date in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS.
