Ann Tams Eudora
A private family service for Ann Tams, 77, Eudora, KS, will be held at a later date. Ann died Thursday, January 26, 2012, at her home.
Ann was born on November 6, 1934 in Lowry City, MO, the daughter of Herbert and Bertha (Irvin) Armstrong.
She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas and her Master’s degree from Emporia State University, Emporia, KS.
She was a school teacher in Kansas City, KS and later worked as an administrator for Johnson County Developmental Disabilities.
Ann was a member of the De Soto Book Club, Bridge Club in Lawrence, and was an avid KU fan.
Survivors include one son, Mark Tams, Tulsa, OK; one daughter, Tracy Tams, Wichita, KS; one granddaughter, Alyssa Jo Tams, Eudora, KS; one brother, Jack Armstrong, Paola, KS; one sister, Jane Massey, Eudora, KS. She was preceded in death by one brother, Sammy Armstrong.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Eudora Food Pantry or Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research, and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
