Arno F. Knapper 1925 - 2012 Lawrence
Memorial services for Arno F. Knapper, 86, Lawrence, will be held at a later date.
He died January 19, 2012 at the Adams Alumni Center in Lawrence.
He was born March 23, 1925 in Greene Co., Iowa the son of Jesse and Leota (Swann) Knapper.
He served his country in the United Sates Navy.
He was a professor at the University of Kansas beginning his career in 1948 and retiring in 1988.
Survivors include a niece, Mari Ann Limburg of Jefferson, IA; great nephew, Chris Limburg & Anne Taylor of Ames IA, great niece, Heidi Limburg McQueen and Miguel, great great nephews Michael and Marcus McQueen of San Bernardino CA and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Charity of the Donor’s Choice and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
