JoAnn Hunsaker 1936 - 2012 Eudora
JoAnn Hunsaker, 76, Eudora, KS, passed away Feb. 25, 2012, at Heartland Hospital in St. Joseph, MO.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Feb. 29 at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., De Soto, KS. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday at the Chapel. Graveside service will be at Wellsville Cemetery in Wellsville, KS.
She was born July 6, 1936, in Fort Scott, KS.
She married Lawrence Hunsaker on May 23, 1954. Together they raised their family in Eudora, KS, where they lived for 45 years. She worked for Eudora School District for over 20 years. She was a loving Mother, Grandma, and Great-Grandma. She enjoyed spending time with her family, while traveling, camping, cooking and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Hunsaker, and parents Edward and Hazel Tesch.
Survivors include sons Larry and wife Paula Hunsaker of Elwood, KS, Gene Hunsaker of Gridley, KS. Grandsons Chad Hunsaker and wife Janett of Lenexa, KS, Ryan Dancer of Amoret, MO, and John Conrad and wife Julie of Tonganoxie, KS. Granddaughters Tammy and husband Shawn Jonas of Peculiar, MO, Sissy and husband Nick Hoegler of Tonganoxie, KS, and Dee Hunsaker of Perry, KS, and 13 great-grandchildren. Brother Jimmie and wife Roma Tesch of Overbrook, KS. Sister Connie and husband Roger Ford of Lawrence, KS, and many nieces and nephews.
