Dennis Odell Hubbel

Dennis Odell Hubbel, age 89 of Bonner Springs, Kansas went home to be with the Lord on Monday Jan. 30, 2012 while surrounded by his family at his home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday Feb. 2 at the Victory Assembly of God Church in Bonner Springs with burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Church or to the Bonner Springs Firefighters Association (1942 Fire Truck Refurbish) both in care of the funeral home.
Dennis was born on June 25, 1922 in Lawrence, Kansas to John and Ethel (McGinnis) Hubbel. Dennis was a Veteran of U.S. Navy during World War II where he was a Motor Machinist Mate 1st class. He has been married to Marvel Ann (Scheidt) Hubbel for 65 years and she survives him of the home. Children: Daughter – Joani and Bruce Baker of Runnells, Iowa, Son – Denny and Teresa Hubbel of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Daughter- Sheila and Steve Randolph of Lebanon, Missouri, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dennis and Marvel also raised a nephew Hal Callahan and two nieces Aileen Jackman and Anita Lloyd.
