George E. Nussbaum 1939 - 2012 Hollister, Missouri
Services for George E. Nussbaum age 72 of Hollister, Missouri were held at 2:30 P.M. Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Mo. Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson, Mo.
He died, November 27, 2012 at his home.
He was born on December 6, 1939 in Johnson County, Missouri the son of William and Eleanor Jennings Nussbaum. He was a truck driver and welder by trade. He enjoyed fishing, wood carving, gardening and spending time with family and friends. He was an U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of thirty seven years, Alveena Nussbaum. One sister, Joyce Brown of Topeka, Kansas. Two brothers, Ray Nussbaum and wife Margie of Leavenworth, Kansas and Charles Nussbaum and wife Cindy of Topeka, Kansas. Two sons, Thomas and Edwin Nussbaum. Two Step-children, Carol Nickelson and Johnny Nichols, two foster children, Bill Yoakum and Henry Yoakum. Many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and step-son, James “Jim” Nichols.
