Leonard P. Cleek, Sr. Lawrence
Leonard P. Cleek, Sr., 83, of Lawrence, KS passed away Friday, November 30, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Graveside services will be 2:00pm, Thursday, December 6, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8:00 Wednesday at the Chapel Oaks-Lawrence Funeral Chapel, 3821 W. 6th St. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Brain Injury Association c/o the funeral home.
Mr. Cleek was born in Spickard, MO and had spent most of his life in Lawrence. He was a union carpenter for several contractors and later worked for the Dunbar Concrete Co. He was an army veteran serving in Korea.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma J. Cleek on March 12, 2012.
He is survived by 5 children, Virginia Smith, Barbara Henderson, Velma Riley, Jacolin Miller & Leonard P. Cleek, Jr.; all of Lawrence, KS. 10 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chapeloaksne.com.
