Jared Wayne Stanley 1973 - 2012 Mannford, Okla.
Jared Wayne Stanley, 39, Mannford, Okla., was killed on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012. He was returning home from work on his motorcycle and was struck from behind and killed by an SUV while waiting to turn into his private driveway.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Prairie City Cemetery, Baldwin City. The family will receive friends following services at the American Legion Hall in Baldwin City.
Jared was born Feb. 20, 1973, in Anaheim, Calif., the son of Steven and Cathy Stanley. He was a welder for the Pipe Fitters Union for 2 years and traveled all over the United States. He had recently become a welder for Total Energy in Sand Springs, Okla.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Ashley Stanley, Jillian Grace Stanley and Vivian Blair Stanley; a son, Devon Glen Stanley; his parents, all of Mannford; and two sisters, Nichole Stanley and Erin Lee, both of Lawrence.
The family suggests memorials to the Stanley Children Fund c/o Freedom Hill Baptist Church 9914 S Hwy 48 Mannford, OK 74044.
