Theodore E. “Ted” Kummer
Services for Theodore E. “Ted” Kummer will be April 30, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Free Methodist Church, Lawrence, Kansas. He died April 14, 2012. He was born in Junction City, Kansas, September 28, 1933 to John and Bernice Harbes Kummer. He graduated from Junction City High School. He was associated with the Prudential Insurance Company for 22 years before starting his own independent insurance agency, Kummer Affiliated Insurors. He married Janice Marie Finley in May 1987. She survives him. Survivors also include 3 children from a previous marriage, sons, Kent and Terry Kummer and a daughter, Susan Abbott, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Inurnment services will be private at a later date. Per his request, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Liver Transplant Department at KU Medical Center, Medical Building, Fifth Floor, 3901, Rainbow Blvd., Kansas City, KS 66160.
