Katherine Louise Hobbs 1913 - 2012 Lawrence
Katherine Louise Hobbs, 98, of Lawrence, KS, passed comfortably surrounded by her loving family on April 18, 2012. She was born April 21, 1913 in Kansas City, MO, daughter of Edward and Maude (Smith) Farrar. She was preceded in death by husbands Ernest F. Kabler and Benton Hobbs and granddaughter Julie L. Smith (47). She is survived by her children Wesley R. Kabler (Nancy), Neal R. Kabler (Carol), and Anna L. Hines (Frank), four grandchildren Steven R. Kabler (Nancy), Melinda Davis (Jon), Bradley C. Hines (Robbyn) and Kristin K. Hines-Dobson (Kevin), grandson-in-law Gregg Smith; five great-grandchildren Sydney and Andrew Smith, Kelsey and Jon Davis, Ava Hines, Natalie Kabler, and Gram Dobson. She was beloved by her family and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at First Baptist Church, 1330 Kasold Dr., Lawrence, KS. Private family burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO.
