Lillian M. Price 1917 - 2012 Lawrence
Funeral services for Lillian M. Price, 94, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lawrence, KS. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery near Perry, KS. She died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community.
Lillian was born on August 10, 1917 in Netawaka, KS, the daughter of Fred and Emma Harms Heers.
She was a graduate of Netawaka High School and later attended the Stricklers Business College in Topeka, KS.
She was a homemaker. She had earlier in her life worked at the Kansas State University Extension Service and the Finance Office at Ft. Riley.
She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lawrence, KS .
She was married to Homer C. Price on September 28, 1941 in Netawaka. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1995.
Survivors include a son, Charles Price of Perry, KS; two daughters, Mariann Atwater, of Lawrence, KS, Leah Knipp of Edmond, OK, three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 9:30 until service time on Monday at the church.
The family suggests memorials in her name to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lawrence and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
