Robert F. Bell, age 60, of Baldwin City, Kansas, died on Sunday, September 25, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Ottawa, Kansas, December 13, 1950, the son of Frances Edward “Buss” and Bertha Evelyn (Ewing) Bell.
Rob grew up in Ottawa, later living in Lawrence and Baldwin City.
He graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1968 and later attended Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas.
Rob owned and operated Bell Automotive and Electric, with his brother Steven, in Lawrence from 1972 until 1984. For the next several years he was a painter, painting houses professionally. In recent years he had been employed as a cook at Cordoba’s restaurant in Baldwin City.
Rob is survived by his brother, Steven Bell and his wife, Lonni, of St. Charles, Missouri and his many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside interment will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City, Kansas.
The family will meet with friends at Lamb-Robert Funeral Home, Baldwin City from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, September 39, 2011.
