Robert “Scott” Winters

Memorial services for Robert “Scott” Winters, 68, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lawrence Chapel Oaks Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lawrence.
Mr. Winters died Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, at his home.
He was born Aug. 19, 1943, in Lawrence, the son of Henry X. and Mary A. Clough Winters Jr.
Mr. Winters was a lifelong resident of Lawrence. He was a custodial supervisor at the Lawrence Paper Company, where he worked for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Gardinier Winters, of the home; two sons, Clay Winters and wife Sandy, St. Marys, and Stephen Winters, Pittsburg; four daughters, Anna Fritzel-Shows and husband Greg, Plano, Texas, Jennifer Dalton and husband George, Little Rock, Ark., Tracie Packham and husband Scott, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Nicole Little, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters; Linda Miner and husband Gary, Tulsa, Okla., Catherine Hess and husband Larry, Lawrence, and Jennifer Stewart and husband Kevin, also of Lawrence; eight grandchildren; Chase Winters, Madeline Dalton, Lindley Dalton, Ashleigh Smedley, Cole Woods, Miro Fritzel-Shows, Graham Little and Paige Little; and a great-grandson, Atlas Lincoln Winters.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Gardinier, and a grandson, Robertson Chad Winters.
