John Patrick Daly 1971 - 2011 Lawrence
Services for John Patrick Daly, 40, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial with military honors conducted by the U.S. Navy and American Legion Dorsey-Liberty Post 14 will be at Reno Cemetery.
Mr. Daly died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
He was born June 19, 1971 in Merriam, the son of Edward Eugene and Debra Kay Rocker Daly.
He graduated from South Harrison High in 1989.
Mr. Daly served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years and was a veteran of the Gulf War. He worked as a corrections officer and law enforcement officer in various Kansas communities.
He married Lacey Will on Sept. 25, 2010, in Tonganoxie. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include son Kyle and daughter Hope, of Denver; son Jerrod of Kansas City, Mo.; and son Ty and daughter Malena, both of Lawrence. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Charles Steven Snider, of Pattonsburg, Mo.; a brother, Jason Daly and wife Tonia, of Chillicothe, Mo.; three sisters, Angela Cullifer and husband Kyle, of Macon, Mo., Shannon Templeton and husband Carl, of Alma, Mo., and Stephanie Litherbury and husband Chuck, of Durango, Colo.; and 18 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call from noon until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
