Florence M. Reynolds Scott

Services for Florence M. Reynolds Scott, 99, Lawrence, formerly of Berryton, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel in Topeka. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
She died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
She was born May 17, 1912, in Great Bend, the daughter of Hilary B. and Clara M. Talbott. She lived in the Berryton and Richland communities from 1937 to 2000. She had lived in Lawrence for the past 11 years.
Mrs. Scott worked at the Richland State Bank for 15 years and later was a bookkeeper for Briman’s Leading Jewelers for 18 years. She was a member of the Berryton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being surrounded by family, fishing trips, sewing and crocheting.
She married A. Kent Reynolds on Dec. 19, 1931. He preceded her in death in August of 1966. She married Wilson Scott on Sept. 12, 1970. He preceded her in death in May of 1994.
She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Harold Talbott, Dorothy Brice and Ron Talbott.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Walden and husband Bob; two grandchildren, Cindy Wampler and husband Don, and Wayne Walden and wife Leslie; and three great-grandchildren, Mark Wampler, Brad Wampler and Addison Walden.
Mrs. Scott will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
