Mildred Marie Bock

Mildred Marie Bock, 87, of Largo, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2011.
Mildred was born August 13, 1924, in Lawrence, Kansas. She was the daughter of Theodore and Henrietta (Nieder) Hack. She graduated from University of Kansas with a degree in Psychology. It was there that she met her husband of 47 years, Albert R. Bock, who passed in 1994.
She is survived by five daughters, Barbara (Warren) Webster of Hopedale, Massachusetts; Beverly Hyde of Lawrence, Kansas; Belinda (Bradford) Lambert of Clearwater, Florida; Bethany Bock (Chris Miller) of Cleveland, Ohio; and Brittany (Danny) Howell of La Crosse, Kansas; and six grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Hack of Lawrence, Kansas, and nieces, Gail and Diane, along with several nephews.
She was a member and volunteer for the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd since 1961. She was also a longtime environmental activist and advocate for migrant farm workers.
