Merle Dean Johns 1942 - 2011 Burlington
A memorial service for Merle Dean Johns, 68, will be held at a later date.
Mr. Johns, a former longtime resident of Baldwin City, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at the Burlington Life Care Center.
He was born Dec. 23, 1942, in Woodward, Okla., the son of Everett Earl Johns and Lucille May Campbell Johns.
Survivors include two daughters, Kerri Lawlor, Colorado, formerly of Lawrence, and Lauren Johns, Texas; two sisters, Caroline Best, Kansas, and Ann Callahan, Florida; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Burlington Life Care Center Memorial Garden, sent in care of the Burlington Life Care Center, 601 S. Cross St., Burlington, KS 66839.
