Dr. Frank Wiebe

Dr. Frank Adams Wiebe, 71, of Tupelo, Miss., died Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center.
He was born on July 26, 1940, in Lawrence, Kansas. He received three degrees from the University of Kansas: B.S. in Business Administration, June 1962; M.A. in Social Psychology, May 1971; and Ph.D. in Business, May 1975.
He was a member of the United States Air Force serving on Active Duty, November 1963 – May 1968, and the Active Reserve, September 1969 – July 1974, with Captain the highest rank held.
He retired in 2004 after thirty-four years as management faculty member at five different universities. His last twenty-five years as a member of the faculty at The University of Mississippi, he taught a variety of undergraduate, MBA and Ph.D. level management courses.
Since January 2005, he was a Business Counselor for the University of Mississippi Small Business Development Center at the Renasant Center for IDEAs in Tupelo. He also served on the Institutional Review Board of the North Mississippi Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Angela Carrington Wiebe of Tupelo; two daughters, Heather Wiebe Grote (Michael) of Columbia, MO, and Robin Wiebe of Oxford; one brother, John Wiebe (Victoria) of Independence, MO; two nieces, Jacque Wiebe Carden of Phoenix, AZ, and Erica Wiebe of Columbia, MO; one aunt, Agnes Withrow of Portland, OR.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011, at W. E. Pegues Funeral Home in Tupelo.
