Memorial services for Roffle Mayes Miller Sr., 78, Cedar Hill, Texas, formerly of Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. June 11 at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill. He was cremated.
He died Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Cedar Hill, Texas.
He was born Jan. 11, 1933, in Lawrence, the son of Oliver Dee Miller and H. Berniece Roffle. He attended Lawrence public schools.
Mr. Miller worked as a service station owner, in construction and for Kincaid Coach.
He attended Trinity Church in Cedar Hill and was a member of the usher board there. He was also a member of the Primrose Tuesday bible study.
He married Ella Mae McPike on Jan. 5, 1951, in Ottawa. She survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Thomas and wife Wendy, Pembroke Pines, Fla., Randy, Gonic, N.H., John and wife Vicki, Lawrence, and Steven and wife Shelly, Lawrence; six daughters, Gayle Sims and husband Alan, Cedar Hill, Brenda Miller, San Diego, Anita Sims and husband David, Dallas; Patricia Davis and husband Mitchell, Newbury Park, Calif., Christina Graham and husband Larry, Westfield, Mass., and Edythe Wilhite, Lawrence; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
