Dorothy 'Nadine' Barnett
Graveside services for Dorothy “Nadine” Barnett, 85, Lawrence, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.
Mrs. Barnett died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1925, in Robertson County, Tenn., the daughter of Henry and Lula Loraine Matthews.
She worked as a section manager at Hallmark for 29 years until she retired.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and Eagles. She was a former member of Elks and Moose Lodge.
She married Donald Barnett on July 25, 1949, in Franklin, Ky. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include one son, Larry Barnett and wife Sally, Lawrence; and one brother, Eldridge Matthews, Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Matthews.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Humane Society or American Heart Association, sent in care of the mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
