Funeral service for Marie Elizabeth Williams Decker, 90, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1011 Vt. Burial of ashes will be at Lawrence Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Decker died Monday, May 9, 2011, due to complications of breast cancer.
She was born Sept. 25, 1920, in Springfield, Mo., the daughter of Joseph Campbell Williams and Nona Herrick Williams.
Mrs. Decker graduated from Stephens College and the University of Texas-Austin.
She was a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood, Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, Drury University Women’s Auxiliary (president in 2001). Mrs. Decker also served the Episcopal Church as a licensed lay reader, Eucharist minister, altar guild member, Sunday School teacher and elected vestry member.
She married Dr. Albert I. Decker on Feb. 28, 1946, in San Francisco. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Jeffrey Williams Decker, Jackson, Wyo.; a daughter, Linda Diane Decker, Truro, Mass.; and a grandson, Brett Shannon Decker and wife Katelyn.
