M. Kathleen Hodges

Graveside memorial services for M. Kathleen Hodges, 88, Bel Air, Md., will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, with the Rev. Dr. Gary W. Teske officiating.
Mrs. Hodges died Monday, March 21, 2011, in Bel Air.
She was born March 12, 1923, in Lawrence, the daughter of George and Kathryn McCall Robson. She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in 1940.
Mrs. Hodges was a homemaker and a member of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church in Bel Air. She was also a member of P.E.O. Chapter Q, the Harford County Maryland Garden Club, the Retired Officers’ Wives Club and was a past volunteer chairwoman for the American Red Cross at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Md. She enjoyed bridge, theater and singing.
She married Maj. Gen. Warren D. Hodges on April 25, 1943, in Lawrence. He preceded her in death Oct. 15, 2004.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Elizabeth Kendrick.
Survivors include a son, Richard W. Hodges and wife Janet, Joppa, Md.; a daughter, Wanda K. Strange and husband Jack, Basehor; two brothers-in-law, Lt. Col. Erv Hodges and wife Shirley, Lawrence, and Dr. Merle A. Hodges and wife Nancy, Salina; a sister, Leah Torres, Alamagordo, N.M.; a sister-in-law, Leta Percival and husband Ivan, Lawrence; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
