Peggy Ann Lynch 1946 - 2011 Mesa, Ariz.
Funeral services for Peggy Ann Lynch, 64, of Mesa, will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Scottsdale United Methodist Church. Final service arrangements will be scheduled in Iowa.
Mrs. Lynch died Thursday, March 3, 2011, in Mesa.
She was born Aug. 27, 1946, in Toledo, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Virginia Grandstaff Prusha.
She was a graduate of South Tama County (Iowa) High School. She did college coursework in computer application and in early childhood development. She also had training in CPR, and attended many seminars on child care. She had recently traveled to Washington, D.C., for training in early childhood development.
Mrs. Lynch worked for Scottsdale United Methodist Church Daycare, where she was a lead teacher. Over the years she had cared for infants, toddlers, and 3 to 5-year-olds.
She married Michael M. Lynch. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters, Jennifer Lynch of Peoria, and Amy Lynch and Lisa Lynch, both of Mesa; six grandchildren, Taryn Lynch, Traer Ewalt, Caitlyn Wheeler, Matthew Bryant, Allyson Lynch and Jillian Lynch; a sister, Polly Bouska, of Lawrence, Kan.; a brother, Timothy Prusha; her stepmother, Betty Prusha; and several other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church.
Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care is in charge of Arizona arrangements.
